Shared Maps allow you to see hyper-local air quality data in real-time.

Overview

A Shared Map shows a Network of devices, where each device (shown as a colored circle ) is a QuantAQ air quality sensor. You can see quick information about the Network in the modal on the left-hand side of the page.

On the bottom left, there is a legend for the current measurement shown on the map. Each device is colored by its most recent reading.

You can click on the dropdown to select a different measurement:

Click on an individual device to see data for that specific location in the left-hand side of the page. On the top, you can see the name of the device, the most recent 24 hours of data, along with callouts for the most recent 1-minute measurement (under "Last Reading") and the last complete hourly measurement (under "Previous Hour"):

When looking at a device, you can change which measurement is visualized by clicking on the sparklines below. Note that the map also changes to match this measurement:

FAQ

Why do some devices only show PM measurements?

QuantAQ has two different products, the MODULAIR and the MODULAIR-PM. MODULAIR devices support both particle- and gas-phase measurements, whereas MODULAIR-PM devices only measure particles. Networks that contain both MODULAIR and MODULAIR-PM devices may only support gas-phase measurements in some locations.

Why do some devices not show up sometimes?

If a device has been offline for more that 24 hours, it won't be shown on the map until it comes back online. If the Shared Map has been setup to show a "status" layer, offline devices will be shown in that view.

Why is the Last Reading sometimes delayed?

Sensors upload measurements every 5-10 minutes. The most recent reading may be a few minutes ago even if the sensor is online.

Does the Shared Map auto-update?

Yes, the map will automatically update itself with new data every few minutes as long as it is open. If there is an issue fetching recent data, try refreshing the page.

How can I find the closest device to me?

Click the location button in the top right corner of the map to view your current location. You may need to allow location privileges for this to work correctly.
