📶 WiFi Supported Devices
QuantAQ's X-series devices support connecting to the QuantAQ Cloud via WiFi in addition to cellular. To verify your device supports WiFi, check the device serial number. If it begins with "MOD-X" (e.g., MOD-X-00001 or MOD-X-PM-00001), you are good to go.
For QuantAQ products that support WiFi, use the following instructions to configure new credentials for your router.
Configure Credentials
To use our web-based WiFi network configuration tool, you must use a modern web browser that supports WebUSB technology. Examples include Chrome, Edge, and Opera browsers on Windows, Linux, Mac, or Chromebook devices. It cannot be used on phones or tablets and cannot be used with Safari or Firefox.
Open up the WiFi Configuration page. Visit the WiFi Configuration tool at app.quant-aq.com/wifi-setup
Connect your Device. Using a USB cable, connect your sensor via the micro-USB service port to your computer.
Select your Device. Once your device is connected, click the "Select Device" button on your screen. A pop-up will appear at which point you should select the device and click "Connect".
Enter Credentials. Once your device pairs to your computer, a drop-down menu will appear with the ability to select an available Network. Select the Network you would like to connect to and enter the appropriate password. Finally, click "Configure".
Limitations
There are a few limitations concerning the types of wireless networks that our devices support. Some of these include:
WPA Enterprise. We do not currently support connecting to WPA2 Enterprise networks.
Hidden or Offline Networks. There is limited support for using hidden or offline networks.
Password Length. We only support passwords up to 64 7-bit ASCII characters. If the password is longer, it will not work.
