This article describes how to create a shareable link to a public view of a private device. This enables you to share the device page without requiring the viewer to be logged in to their QuantAQ Cloud account, even if the device is marked private.
This feature differs from our Shared Maps feature, which allows you to create an embeddable map for an entire Network. The shared link described in this article applies to only a single device.
To create a publicly shareable view of a private device:
Enable the "Individual Device Public Sharing Enabled?" setting for the Network the device belongs to under the Network Settings tab.
Retrieve the custom link for the device by navigating to the Network Device tab and clicking "Get Sharing Link" from the device dropdown menu. This will open the link in a new tab. Copy the link and share away.
If you need to reset or cancel the shared link for any reason, you can toggle the Network-wide setting to "off," and all links will be nullified for the Network.
