All batteries are shipped mostly discharged for safety and regulatory reasons.
Before you deploy your Smart Solar Power System and QuantAQ air quality sensor, it is a good idea to charge the battery to minimize potential deployment headaches.
There is currently only one way to charge the battery without a load. Install the Smart Solar Power System in an area of high sun exposure per our installation guide, ensuring the power cable from the sensor is plugged into the battery with the sensor itself powered off.
If it's charging correctly, the green LED on the base of the battery should be blinking slowly.
